The Wind Band

STOCKHOLMS MUSIKKÅR TRE KRONOR (The Wind Band of Stockholm 'Three Crowns') was formed in the autumn 1984 and now has some fifty members. Tre Kronor is an independent amateur band with its own, old-fashioned, uniform. An aim of the band is to maintain and develop the Swedish wind music tradition. Tre Kronor's repertoire is extensive and includes traditional marches, folk pieces, classical symphonic music, popular melodies, highlights from operettas and operas, and original works.

Tre Kronor gives many concerts, gladly with soloists and choirs, and performs on many festive occasions, such as the National Day of Sweden, sports events, opening ceremonies etc.

There are three CD's issued by the band.
